We’re visiting New Westminster with our project Tricoter!

Tricoter for all ages will be presented at Ryall Park / Queensborough Community Centre in New Westminster next August! In addition to the two performances open to all families described below, we will perform for daycare and preschool programs.

If you like knitting, or things that have been knitted for you, you will want to come see this!

“Tricoter” re-creates the spirit of a knitting circle. The dance winds and unwinds through and around the public who are arranged in the round. Yarn is integrated into the choreography and weaves an architecture that links public and place to the dancer. While dancing, the yarn gets tangled in a large knot of bright colours and we recall knitting memories in our family history. We experience Tricoter through play, curiosity, and exploration of belonging to a community.

Tricoter will be followed by a “stay and play” activity for the tall and small.

Dates : Thursday August 18th and Friday August 19th

            Time: 1:00pm

Location : Ryall Park, on a grass area behind the Queensborough Community Centre

Tickets: Free! Register through this form.

The performances are FREE! Thanks to the 2022 Small One time City Grant program of the City of New Westminster.

In case of rain, it will take place in the Port Royal room inside the community centre.
