Bonjour!!

We would love for you to come to this event at Clayton. If you know of any more artists, educators, who may be interested, let us know or share the link. We are aiming for a small group. Event description – Spirit of the village

• Friday, April 10, 2026
• 1:30pm-3pm
• Clayton Community Centre, multi-purpose room across from the Studio Theatre, in Surrey

In the company of Jacky Essombé, artist and knowledge keeper with the African Friendship Society, this conversation explores core themes of our performance of Baby Space Opera: unity, care for each other and our planet and children’s leadership.

We invite Surrey’s artists and artists in the making, including those who also work in the fields of education, literacy and health, to discuss the vital role of art with and for children in our communities.

While the dialogue is tailored for adults, children are warmly welcomed! On-site volunteers will provide childminding and creative activities like drawing or book reading. A light lunch will be provided. Please register via the link below.

Please plan to attend one of the performances, preferably at 12:30pm just before our conversation, in the Clayton Community Centre Studio Theatre.
